Our risk management department supervises all facets of financial as well as non-financial risks including market and liquidity risk, counter party risk, model risk, organisational risk, and technology risk. The company employs a rigorous Enterprise Risk system that offers a clear governance structure and guarantees transparency in decision making. We believe it is important for Risk Management to work closely with the teams of Portfolio Management, Research, and Trading in the management of risk. These strategies differentiate by recognizing the risks and opportunities inherent in investing in global equity. We combine our Enhanced Strategy for optimized alpha opportunities with dedicated country and currency models.
Fixed Income
Through consistently applying investment themes across stocks, we strive to achieve consistent out-performance. We assume that a multi-factor investment strategy can produce excess returns that are uncorrelated to other asset classes as well as conventional fixed income managers, harnessing underlying performance drivers.
Absolute Return Credit
A market-neutral credit strategy aimed at producing positive absolute returns with minimal correlations with conventional equity and credit markets. It does this by engaging in a diversified corporate credit and equity portfolio both long and short.
Emerging Markets Hard Currency
Seek excess returns through hard currency and local currency markets through region, maturity, and currency selection. Although local currency investments are included in the plan, it does not take beta to local currency debt, participates in no overall period or spread timing, and targets one beta to its hard currency benchmark.
Global Aggregate
Searches for excess returns through selection of country, maturity, credit, and currency. The strategy targets the benchmark’s credit and period profile and thus does not attempt to engage in timing of duration or selection of the market.
Global Governments
This strategy aims for excess returns through selection of region, maturity, and currency. It participates in the timing of the minimum duration.

For Horizon2Go, the strategy for 1ABC1 Growth is about identifying platforms–management teams, businesses and sectors–where we can invest in building leading global businesses. Our strategy, which invests primarily through our Next Generation Technology Fund, allows us to invest capital in private companies through majority or minority stakes, as well as take minority stakes in public companies.
We focus on emerging, high-growth businesses and invest across a range of sub-sectors including Software, Security, Semiconductors, Consumer Electronics, Internet of Things (IoT), Information Services, Business Services, Internet, Digital Media, Content, and Communications. 1ABC1 Growth transactions tend to involve smaller equity investments, have structured downside protection, limited leverage and assume execution risk as opposed to fundamental technological risk.

Our Approach:
Global Impact is the dedicated lower-middle-market private equity strategy developed by Horizon2Go to invest in companies that deliver solutions to significant societal challenges.
We have established and explored a number of commercial prospects for investing in solutions to social problems around the globe over the last decade. We’re looking to build on that success and do more over time. Our global team–based in North America, Europe, China, India, Southeast Asia, and Australia— combines local connectivity with the global resources of Horizon2Go to develop critical insights and relationships to better source, evaluate, and create value within our global portfolio companies.
We concentrate on opportunities where we feel that we can utilize these ideas and resources to help scale up an existing company by spending more money, creating better rewards and enhancing business processes to produce improved economic results and effects.
Besides seeking to maximize impact, we focus on opportunities where we believe we can optimize and improve ESG performance to produce meaningful results, providing transparency for our investors and key stakeholders through high-quality reporting. Our experience has shown that proactive and thoughtful management of ESG and stakeholder issues can reduce risk, mitigate externalizes and deliver double-bottom-line benefits (i.e. economic and societal).
We are committed to assessing and reporting on the effect of our projects in a way that is (a) transparent and (b) leverages current, validated structure. We will assess, calculate and monitor the effect of each organisation on one or more of the SDGs using, where appropriate, metrics identified by third party monitoring frameworks.

Real estate has been a part of the firm’s strategy since we first began to explore real estate opportunities through our private equity strategy.
